In early September, 2010, one of our members discovered that the family's household pet of over 20 years, a desert tortoise, was missing. They reached out to the Indian Canyons Neighborhood organization, which alerted all members via email with a phone number to call if the tortoise was found. A neighbor spotted the tortoise, and thanks to the email from ICNO, was able to contact the pet owner.
